Located 8 miles south of uptown Charlotte off of Park Road on Smithfield Church Road, Heydon Hall is convenient to shopping, schools and major thoroughfares. Quail Corners Shopping Center with various retail, restaurants, entertainment and a Harris Teeter Grocery Store is located directly across Park Road. SouthPark Mall, Carolina Place Mall, and the Ballantyne Area shopping complexes are all within 15 minutes drive. Charlotte Douglas Airport is 16 miles away. Many churches of varying denomination are located nearby, including Quail Hollow Presbyterian Church on the corner of Smithfield Church Road and Park Road. The Johnston Road extension project is complete and now allows direct access down Park Road to Johnston Road, I-485, and the Ballantyne Area.

Exemplary schools, both public and private, serve the Heydon Hall area. In fact, all three public schools for grades K-12 are within walking distance of the community. Smithfield Elementary School and Quail Hollow Middle school are both located on Smithfield Church Road, and South Mecklenburg High School is across Park Road from Heydon Hall. Smithfield Elementary is an "ABC" School Recognition School of Distinction, with enrollment of approximately 1000 children. Quail Hollow Middle School has 1,129 students and South Meck High School's enrollment is approximately 2,250. The developers of Heydon Hall have implemented improved traffic patterns on Smithfield Church Road at both Smithfield Elementary and Quail Hollow Middle School at an estimated taxpayer savings of over $100,000.

Directions to Heydon Hall:

From Uptown Charlotte: Follow Park Road south, away from town approximately 7 miles. You will cross over Woodlawn Road, Tyvola Road, and Gleneagles Road. Take your next left, just past Quail Corners Shopping Center onto Smithfield Church Road. Continue straight to the end of Smithfield Church Road, and approach the gates at the entrance to Heydon Hall. The Sales Center is through the gates to your left.

From South Charlotte: Take I-485 to the Johnston Road Exit (Exit 61). Head North, towards uptown Charlotte on Johnston Road. Cross Hwy 51 (Pineville-Matthews Hwy). Johnston Road will turn into Park Road. Just past South Mecklenburg High School on your left, take your next right onto Smithfield Church Road. Continue straight to the end of Smithfield Church Road, and approach the gates at the entrance to Heydon Hall. The Sales Center is through the gates to your left.
